Heavy rains and strong winds have caused widespread damage across several districts of Mizoram, particularly in Lawngtlai and Lunglei. In response, Assam Rifles, in coordination with the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), launched humanitarian assistance operations.

The joint teams rescued civilians stranded due to landslides, cleared debris, and worked to restore road connectivity in affected areas. Relief and rehabilitation efforts are currently underway.
