Agartala, June 20, 2025: In the run-up to the 11th International Yoga Day, Assam Rifles organized a series of yoga sessions at Radhanagar, Teliamura, Bagbassa and Phaitol witnessing the active participation of 492 individuals.
Themed “Yoga for Body, Mind and Soul,” the sessions aimed to promote holistic wellness among diverse sections of society. Participants included children, women, students, and Assam Rifles personnel. The events commenced with introductory demonstrations of various yogasanas and breathing techniques, tailored to enhance physical and mental well-being.
Special focus was placed on educating the participants about the health benefits of regular yoga practice—ranging from increased body awareness and flexibility to improved strength and reduced stress and fatigue. The sessions also encouraged mindfulness and mental clarity, crucial for maintaining balance in daily life.
This initiative is part of Assam Rifles’ broader effort to instill healthy lifestyle habits and spread awareness of yoga’s role in overall fitness. By reaching out to local communities, the campaign aims to inspire a sustained, community-driven movement for healthier living across the region.
