Agartala, November 01, 2025: In a bid to foster greater awareness about the Armed Forces and inspire young minds towards national service, Assam Rifles organised a weapon display demonstration for cadets of the 13th Tripura Battalion NCC at the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Youth Hostel premises here on Thursday, marking the occasion of NCC Day 2025.
The event aimed to enhance cadets’ understanding of military equipment and operations while motivating them to pursue careers in defence services. A wide range of infantry weapons and tactical gear currently in use by Assam Rifles were showcased, accompanied by detailed briefings and live demonstrations.
A total of 277 NCC cadets both boys and girls participated enthusiastically, interacting with the personnel and showing keen interest in learning about the various weapons and their functions.
Officials said the initiative was part of Assam Rifles’ ongoing efforts to promote youth development, defence awareness, and patriotic values. Such outreach programmes, they added, play a vital role in strengthening the bond between the Armed Forces and the civilian community, particularly among the youth who represent the nation’s future.
