Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday announced that eleven Bangladeshi nationals, suspected of entering India illegally, have been deported from the state.

Speaking on X, Sarma said the individuals were “pushed back” to Bangladesh but did not provide details about their place of detention or the exact location from which they were repatriated.

The Chief Minister added, “Eleven passengers who boarded the wrong train to Bharat with an intention to create disturbance have been deboarded and pushed back to their origin station—Bangladesh,” cautioning others against engaging in such unlawful activities.
