Guwahati, May 8: The second phase of the Assam panchayat elections saw a voter turnout of 79.23%, according to an official report.

Polling was conducted on Wednesday in 13 districts: Dhubri, South Salmara-Mankachar, Goalpara, Bongaigaon, Barpeta, Bajali, Nalbari, Kamrup, Kamrup (Metro), Hojai, Nagaon, Morigaon, and Darrang.

A total of 91,31,127 eligible voters, including 44,99,952 women, participated in this phase.
