Guwahati, July 29: In a significant verdict, the Court of Special Judge, Assam, has sentenced Rakesh Paul, the former chairman of the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC), to 14 years in prison and imposed a fine of Rs. 2 lakh for his role in the APSC cash-for-job scam.

Two former APSC members, Basanta Kumar Doley and Samedur Rahman, have been sentenced to 10-year jail terms for their involvement in the scam.
