Guwahati, Jun 23: The Assam Cabinet, under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, has approved the establishment of a Rabha Development Council for Rabha communities residing outside the Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council (RHAC) area.

The new council will implement welfare schemes aimed at improving the socio-economic, educational, and cultural status of Rabha people living beyond the territorial jurisdiction of RHAC.
