Guwahati, July 18: The Assam cabinet has approved Rs 342 crore to provide Rs 5,000 each to 7 lakh tea garden workers and employees as part of the 200 years celebration of Assam tea under the scheme ‘Eti Koli Duti Paat,’ Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said.

Additionally, during the Advantage Assam 2.0 event, Medanta Hospital signed an MoU to establish a hospital in Guwahati with an investment of Rs 800 crore. The cabinet has approved handing over government land near Sarusajai stadium for this purpose.
