In a major anti-drug operation, Cachar Police recovered 622 grams of heroin worth ₹3.11 crore near ISBT Silchar. The operation, based on specific intelligence, led to the arrest of one suspected drug peddler.

The crackdown is part of the ongoing Assam Against Drugs campaign aimed at curbing the drug menace in the state.
