The Chief Minister’s Vigilance Cell raided the Guwahati residence of ACS officer Nupur Bora, currently serving as Circle Officer of Goroimari in Kamrup, on Monday following allegations of possessing assets beyond her known income.

Officials recovered ₹1.7 crore in cash from her fifth-floor apartment at Shine Shanti Greeno, raising suspicions of financial irregularities.

Bora, who had previously faced scrutiny for alleged irregularities during her tenure as Additional Deputy Commissioner in Karbi Anglong, is now under fresh investigation as authorities examine the seized cash and documents.
