Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday distributed appointment letters to 5,690 candidates recruited in the Education and Power departments during a programme held at Khanapara.

The distribution ceremony was organised by the Government of Assam as part of the state government’s ongoing recruitment process across departments.

Officials stated that with this round of appointments, the total number of government jobs provided during the tenure of the present state government has reached 1,64,359.

The newly appointed candidates will join various posts under the Education and Power departments in the state.
