Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma distributed ₹10,000 seed capital each to 23,949 women under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Utkarsh Abhiyan (MMUA) at Abhayapuri in Bongaigaon. The initiative is aimed at empowering women and supporting them to start or expand their own businesses.

The CM said in a tweet, “After Nalbari, today, 23,000+ of my sisters from Abhayapuri received seed funds under MMUA, joining the bandwagon of NariShakti shaping a brighter tomorrow for their families. This empowerment will uplift 40 lakh families, strengthening Assam’s communities and future.”
