Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Inaugurates ₹228-Crore Flyover, Opens Cancer Centre In Diphu

Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday inaugurated the four-lane Khorsing Terang Ingjarkap Flyover in Diphu under Karbi Anglong district. The flyover has been constructed at a cost of ₹228 crore.

According to officials, the project is intended to facilitate smoother traffic movement, reduce congestion in the town, and improve connectivity in the area.

During the programme, the Chief Minister also dedicated the Diphu Cancer Centre, built at a cost of ₹270 crore, to the public. The facility has been established to provide oncology services in the district.

Officials stated that the centre is expected to expand access to specialised cancer treatment for residents of Karbi Anglong and nearby areas.

The Chief Minister also announced plans for the establishment of a BSc Nursing College in Diphu. Authorities said the proposed institution will support healthcare education and strengthen medical services in the district.
