Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Wednesday accused Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma of attempting to destabilize his government over the past year. Speaking at rallies in Nirsa, Baghmara, and Baliapur in Dhanbad district, Soren claimed Sarma, representing the BJP, had been “hovering” over Jharkhand like a bird, conspiring to unseat his administration.
Soren stated that despite the BJP’s prolonged efforts, they had failed to topple his government. However, he alleged that their campaign had succeeded in getting him imprisoned. The Jharkhand CM accused the BJP of desperation, saying that their failure to regain power in the state had led them to resort to underhanded tactics. “Though they couldn’t overthrow the government, they managed to send me behind bars,” Soren said. He promised that the people of Jharkhand would give a strong response in the upcoming elections.
