Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated the 100-bedded Neotia Bhagirathi Women and Child Care Centre in Joynagar on Thursday. The facility aims to provide specialised healthcare services for mothers and children.

The centre was established through a government-private partnership under a memorandum of understanding (MoU), reflecting Assam’s efforts to expand quality medical infrastructure across the state.
