Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday distributed the first installment of financial assistance under the Chief Minister’s Atmanirbhar Assam Award (CMAAA) 2.0 to 5,572 young entrepreneurs from Kamrup and Kamrup (Metro) at the Jyoti-Bishnu International Auditorium, Guwahati.
The Assam government released over ₹56 crore to support youth-led enterprises, aiming to empower the state’s youth as job creators and drivers of economic growth.
The initiative plans to benefit up to 10 lakh young entrepreneurs in the coming years. Beneficiaries were congratulated as the programme moves forward.
