Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu on Thursday met Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya at Raj Bhavan and apprised him of the Higher Education department’s roadmap for implementing the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in the state.

During the meeting, Pegu highlighted key initiatives such as curriculum restructuring, faculty development, and digital integration aimed at aligning the state’s universities with NEP 2020 guidelines. He also discussed steps taken to promote multidisciplinary learning and improve academic quality.

Governor Acharya appreciated the department’s efforts and assured continued support from Raj Bhavan. He emphasised the need for a strong academic ecosystem to strengthen Assam’s position in national and global education.
