The eviction drive in Uriamghat, located along the Assam-Nagaland border, continued for the third consecutive day on Thursday. Eviction operations are being carried out in Dayalpur 2, Dayalpur 3, Dalnipathar 3, Kherbari, and Anandpur villages.

On Wednesday, around 200 houses were cleared in Pithaghat Nos. 1 and 2. The drive, led by district authorities, targets the eviction of over 2,600 families and aims to clear encroachments from approximately 11,000 bighas of government land.
