Guwahati, Jun 2: Amid ongoing flood relief operations across Assam, the Fire and Emergency Services and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) successfully rescued a dog in Dibrugarh and a horse in Dhemaji district.
Assam Police, in an official update shared on Monday, informed that a dog was rescued from Sada Shiva Path in Dibrugarh after a citizen alert. In another operation, a horse was safely rescued from the flood-affected Sonarighat area in Silapathar, Dhemaji.
Authorities continue to carry out rescue efforts for both people and animals as several districts remain affected by heavy flooding.
