Assam: Five Bangladesh Nationals Arrested For Illegal Border Crossing

In a successful operation along the Indo-Bangladesh border, Assam Police arrested five Bangladeshi nationals who were attempting to enter India illegally. The individuals, identified as Dudu Mia Chakder, Anuwar Hussain, Imran Hassan, Md Mahabub, and Nahar Begum, were detained near the International Border and later deported to Bangladesh following established protocols.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma commended the police for their swift action in securing the state’s borders. He tweeted, “Good job, Team!” acknowledging their role in preventing illegal immigration.
