The flood crisis in Assam has intensified, with one more death reported on Tuesday, bringing the total death toll from floods and landslides this year to 29, according to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA).

The latest casualty was recorded in the Morongi revenue circle of Golaghat district. The ASDMA bulletin further stated that more than 32,000 people across six districts are currently affected by the deluge. Among the total fatalities, six were due to mudslides. Relief and rescue efforts are ongoing in the affected regions.
