Assam Floods: Three River Sites In Severe Condition, Says CWC

The Central Water Commission (CWC) has flagged severe flood conditions at three river sites in Assam, while 19 locations across the country are flowing above the warning level.

According to the CWC’s daily flood bulletin issued on Monday, the Dhansiri (South) River at Golaghat and Numaligarh, and the Dikhow River in Sivasagar district of Assam, are witnessing severe flooding.

The report also noted that seven rivers in Assam have crossed warning levels at multiple monitoring points, indicating a critical flood situation in the state.
