In a joint anti-narcotics operation, Cachar Police, the Anti-Reconnaissance and Field Intelligence Unit (ARFIU), and Assam Rifles seized 648 grams of heroin valued at ₹3.5 crore.

The team also recovered a pistol during the operation.

One suspected drug peddler has been taken into custody.
