Acting on credible intelligence, Cachar Police conducted a successful anti-narcotics operation in Silchar, intercepting a vehicle and recovering 1.109 kilograms of heroin. The seized contraband is estimated to be worth ₹5.55 crore in the illegal market.
During the operation, one suspected drug peddler was apprehended. Authorities have launched further investigations to uncover the wider network involved in the trafficking.
