Acting on a specific tip-off, Karbi Anglong Police intercepted a vehicle at Sukanjan and seized 19.32 kilograms of opium valued at around ₹1 crore.

The vehicle was reportedly coming from a neighbouring state. One suspected drug peddler was arrested at the scene.

Further investigation is underway to trace the source and network involved in the drug trafficking.
