A high-performance sports training and rehabilitation centre, the third of its kind in Assam, was inaugurated by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in Kokrajhar on Tuesday.

The centre has been established through a collaborative effort involving the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare, Abhinav Futuristic Private Ltd, Oil India Ltd, and Numaligarh Refinery Ltd, in association with Olympic gold medallist Abhinav Bindra.

According to an official release, the facility provides services such as advanced sports training, robotic rehabilitation for injury management, physiological and biomechanical assessments, nutritional support, and recovery services.
