In a series of successful anti-narcotics operations on Tuesday, Assam Police, in collaboration with the Border Security Force (BSF), made significant drug seizures across the state, valued at ₹5.05 crore.
In South Salmara Mankachar, police and BSF forces recovered 7,200 YABA tablets and 50 grams of brown sugar near the Indo-Bangladesh border, with an estimated value of ₹3 crore.
Meanwhile, in Cachar, two individuals were arrested after 174 grams of heroin, valued at ₹2.05 crore, was seized. Additionally, 116 grams of heroin was seized in another operation, leading to the arrest of one more individual.
These successful operations highlight Assam’s ongoing efforts to combat the drug trade and ensure public safety.
