Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday said that 20 illegal immigrants were pushed back to Bangladesh from Sribhumi by the Assam Police.

In a post on social media platform X, Sarma stated that Assam is a home for all Indians, but not for illegal foreigners attempting to alter the state’s demography. Reiterating a strong stance against infiltration, he wrote, “We will not tolerate illegal immigrants.”
