In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, Cachar Police seized 20,000 Yaba tablets worth ₹6 crore during an anti-narcotics operation. Two drug peddlers were arrested in connection with the seizure.

Assam Police termed the operation as another significant step in its ongoing efforts to combat the drug menace in the state.
