In a major operation, Assam Police seized 43.5 kilograms of opium valued at ₹2.5 crore during a routine naka check at 6th Mile. The police intercepted a vehicle and found the narcotics concealed inside.

Three individuals were arrested in connection with the case. Further investigation is underway to trace the source and network behind the smuggling attempt.
