Assam police conducted successful anti-drug operations in both the Brahmaputra and Barak Valleys, seizing large quantities of narcotics and arresting three individuals.
In Chirang district, police recovered 30,000 YABA tablets from Bijni, valued at approximately ₹4.5 crore, and arrested two persons in connection with the seizure.

In Cachar district, police seized 85 cases of heroin, totaling 947 grams and worth around ₹4.7 crore, leading to the arrest of one individual.
These operations demonstrate the state police’s continued commitment to combating drug trafficking across Assam.
