Assam Police arrested two suspected drug peddlers and seized heroin worth over ₹2.5 crore during two separate operations in Cachar district and Sribhumi.
In Cachar, police recovered 410 grams of heroin and apprehended one accused, while a similar operation in Sribhumi led to the arrest of another suspect.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma shared the update on social media Thursday evening, commending the police efforts: “Twice struck, twice stopped.”
Authorities said investigations are ongoing to identify and dismantle the wider drug trafficking network.
