Guwahati, Jun 25: In a significant step towards boosting the cultural and entertainment landscape of Assam, the Assam Tourism Development Corporation (ATDC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BigTree Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., the parent company of BookMyShow, for organizing international music events in the state.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in Guwahati.

The agreement aims to position Assam as a major destination for global music concerts and events. The Chief Minister described the development as a new chapter in the state’s cultural journey and emphasized that the partnership reflects growing confidence in Assam’s ability to host world-class events.

Following the signing, the Chief Minister tweeted that the collaboration will make ticketing “seamless” and added that Assam is poised to become “the next big concert and events destination,” with BookMyShow serving as the one-stop ticketing platform.
