Guwahati, Dec 2: A British travel vlogger, Alex Wanders, has expressed surprise after discovering that global music artist Post Malone is set to perform in Guwahati, Assam, and that he was able to purchase six tickets for under USD 150 (around ₹13,000). Alex, who is documenting his journey across India on Instagram, said Guwahati is the 11th state he has visited during his travels.

According to his video, the vlogger came across a concert billboard in the city and checked the ticket prices, which he found significantly lower than those in the United States. “The American mind could never comprehend this,” he said in the clip. “I just arrived in Guwahati, India, and next week Post Malone is playing a show here. I got six tickets for me and my friends for under USD 150.”

The video has since gone viral, drawing reactions from residents and travellers. Many users welcomed him to Northeast India and suggested popular destinations such as Kaziranga, Karbi Anglong, Dima Hasao and Majuli.

Several commenters also highlighted the region’s vibrant music culture and encouraged him to explore local festivals that regularly feature international artists. The vlogger’s experience, coupled with the concert’s affordability, has added to the growing visibility of Northeast India as an emerging cultural and travel destination.
