Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will be in Guwahati on Friday to flag off three key trains from the Guwahati Railway Station. The trains include the Guwahati-New Lakhimpur Janshatabdi Express, New Bongaigaon-Guwahati Passenger Train, and Tinsukia-Naharlagun Express.

During his visit, Vaishnaw will also inaugurate the Tetelia Road Over Bridge (ROB) in Dispur and virtually launch a 10 KW FM transmitter at Akashvani Kokrajhar. The new transmitter will enhance FM coverage, benefiting over 30 lakh residents in Kokrajhar and surrounding areas.

Additionally, the Minister will inaugurate the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) Deemed to be University virtually and visit the Tata Semiconductor factory in Jagiroad. Vaishnaw will also review the progress of ongoing projects by the Northeast Frontier Railway to boost infrastructure and connectivity in the region.
