The National Integration Tour of Assam, organized by the Spear Corps of the Indian Army, came to a successful conclusion on November 24, 2024, after a week-long journey aimed at fostering national unity and celebrating the diverse culture of India.
The tour, which included visits to Delhi, Mumbai, and Ahmednagar, offered students a range of enriching experiences. In Ahmednagar, participants visited the Armoured Corps Centre and School, where they had the opportunity to ride a T-72 tank and learn about the operational challenges faced by tank crews. They also explored the Cavalry Museum, which detailed the history of armoured warfare.
In Delhi, the students had a memorable interaction with President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhawan and visited prominent landmarks such as the National War Memorial, Qutub Minar, and Dilli Haat. In Mumbai, the group toured the Naval Dockyard, boarded INS Teg, and witnessed an exciting fly-past featuring MIG-29K, Dornier 228, Boeing P-8 Poseidon, and the indigenous ALH Dhruv helicopters.
The tour will conclude with the participants returning to Digboi, Tinsukia, on November 26, 2024. The initiative has inspired many students to consider careers in the Indian Armed Forces, further promoting the spirit of unity, patriotism, and national pride.
