Guwahati, Jun 27: Tamulpur in Assam has been recognised as the Best Development Block in the country among 500 Aspirational Blocks by NITI Aayog. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma shared the achievement on Saturday via his official X handle, congratulating Team Tamulpur for the distinction.
The Chief Minister noted that the recognition reaffirms Tamulpur’s notable progress in 40 core development areas such as health, education, agriculture, infrastructure, and nutrition. The Aspirational Blocks Programme, launched by NITI Aayog, aims to improve governance and service delivery in underdeveloped regions across India.
