Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced that the ropeway project at Biswanath Ghat is expected to be completed by December. The initiative is aimed at improving connectivity across the Brahmaputra River and boosting tourism in the region.

Taking to social media platform X, Sarma wrote, “Biswanath Ghat is now just a Rope(a)way,” highlighting the transformation underway. He added that the ropeway will provide faster and more efficient travel for commuters and tourists alike.

Emphasising the broader development push under the #ViksitAssam initiative, the Chief Minister said, “From roads to ghats, the transformation of a Viksit Assam is for everyone to witness.”
