In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, authorities seized over 1 kg of suspected brown sugar from Srirampur in the Gossaigaon subdivision of Kokrajhar district, located along the Assam–West Bengal border.

The seized narcotics are estimated to be worth more than ₹1 crore in the illegal market. Further investigation is underway.
