In response to escalating tensions in Manipur’s Jiribam district, Cachar Police have intensified security measures along the Assam-Manipur border to bolster regional stability and control unauthorized movements.

The heightened security includes extensive foot patrols, area domination efforts, and targeted search operations in the Tupidhar region, aimed at fostering trust and cooperation with local communities.

To further strengthen border security, Cachar Police have also implemented rigorous riverine patrols along the Barak River, covering the area from Fulertal to Tupidhar. This strategic initiative is part of a broader approach to maintain vigilance along the border and ensure peace.
