The Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) on Tuesday demolished six illegal structures along the Assam-Meghalaya border, an official confirmed on Wednesday.

Deputy Chief Executive Member Nikman Ch Marak said the settlers were issued prior notices but failed to furnish valid land documents, resulting in the demolition of the unauthorized structures.
