A resident of Manipur has alleged that his genitals were removed without his consent during a medical procedure at a private hospital in Silchar.

The man, Atiqur Rahman, filed a police complaint at the Gungoor police outpost in Cachar district, naming Dr Eden Sinha of RE Hospital. Medical documents show that Rahman was diagnosed with “ulcer proliferative growth with retention of urine” and was admitted for treatment.

Rahman claimed that doctors advised him to undergo a biopsy. However, following the procedure, he discovered that his genitals had been surgically removed without his knowledge. He added that he was unable to report the incident earlier due to post-surgical complications.

Cachar Police confirmed that an FIR has been registered and stated that the case is currently under investigation.
