The Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER) has approved the construction of the Mangoldoi-Mazikuchi road in Assam. The 15-kilometre road project, estimated to cost around ₹45.31 crore, will be carried out under the North East Special Infrastructure Development Scheme.

According to a statement from MDoNER, the new road will provide a direct connection between Darrang and Udalguri districts. It will reduce the distance between Mangaldoi and Bhergaon by 7.2 kilometres, improving connectivity and facilitating easier travel in the region.
