Guwahati, Jan 14: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday conveyed his warm greetings to the people of Assam on the occasion of Magh Bihu, describing the festival as a celebration of joy, warmth, brotherhood, and the rich cultural heritage of Assam.
In a message released in both Assamese and English, Modi highlighted that Magh Bihu represents contentment and gratitude. He noted that the festival marks the end of the harvest season, providing an opportunity to acknowledge the efforts of farmers and others who contribute to sustaining communities.
“It encourages generosity and care among us,” the Prime Minister said. “May this Magh Bihu bring peace, good health, and happiness to everyone’s lives. I wish the year ahead is filled with prosperity and success.”
