Guwahati, Feb 24: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to begin a two-day visit to Assam on February 24, as confirmed by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. During his stay, the Prime Minister will attend key events, including the inauguration of the ‘Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit’ on February 25.
On the evening of February 24, Modi will witness a grand Jhumur dance performance at Sarusajai Stadium, featuring over 8,500 artists from Assam’s tea gardens. The performance, part of celebrations marking 200 years of Assam tea, will be followed by a laser show showcasing the state’s cultural heritage.
The Prime Minister will also inaugurate an exhibition related to the summit later that evening. He will spend approximately 30-45 minutes interacting with participants and exploring the exhibition.
On February 25, Modi will inaugurate the Advantage Assam 2.0 Summit at its plenary session, which will be attended by Assam’s Governor, Union Ministers, and Chief Ministers from neighboring states, as well as diplomats and business delegations from several countries.
Modi is expected to depart Guwahati after the summit’s inaugural session.
