Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday confirmed that seven Bangladeshi nationals were pushed back from Sribhumi in the early hours as part of the state government’s ongoing efforts to curb illegal infiltration.
In a statement posted on his official X handle, the Chief Minister said, “Stern action against illegal infiltrators continues. Continuing our crackdown, seven Bangladeshi nationals were pushed back in the wee hours today from Sribhumi.”
He warned those attempting illegal entry, stating, “Do not try and infiltrate, you will be caught and pushed back.”
