Guwahati, May 2: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday said that strict action will be taken against individuals who raise pro-Pakistan slogans in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking at a campaign rally in Dhubri ahead of the panchayat elections, Sarma warned that anyone shouting “Pakistan Zindabad” would face severe consequences. He stated that such slogans would not be tolerated and added that their legs would be broken if they raised such chants.
He also urged people to pray for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian Army, expressing confidence that those responsible for terrorism would be tracked down and punished, no matter where they are hiding.
