Guwahati, July 15, 2023: In a heart-wrenching incident that took place on Saturday morning, a middle-aged man met a tragic end when his car veered off the road and submerged into a roadside pond near Birhengaon village in Assam’s Chirang district.

The unfortunate victim has been identified as Sudem Narzary, a 40-year-old individual who was behind the wheel when the accident took place. It appears that Narzary lost control of his vehicle, leading to its overturning and eventual descent into the water.

Despite the desperate situation, Narzary found himself trapped inside the submerged car. The water pressure prevented his escape, as the windows remained closed, and access to the doors proved impossible.

Upon receiving the distressing news, local authorities and nearby residents swiftly rallied to the scene. With coordinated efforts from the police and the community, the submerged vehicle was successfully retrieved from the pond. Tragically, the lifeless body of Sudem Narzary was found inside the car, concluding the devastating incident.
