Assam Police have arrested two more individuals for allegedly posting objectionable content related to Hinduism on social media platforms.

Md Anisur Rehman was arrested by Tinsukia Police for allegedly sharing content offensive to Hindu sentiments. In a separate case, Nagaon Police arrested Farijul Islam for allegedly making a derogatory remark about Lord Ram.

Police sources said the arrests are part of an ongoing crackdown on social media posts deemed to incite communal tension. A total of 97 individuals have been arrested so far in similar cases across the state.
