Six differently abled individuals from Assam were conferred the Governor Assam Vishwakarma Samman on Wednesday in recognition of their contributions in various fields.

The awards were presented by Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya during the celebration of Vishwakarma Jayanti, which also marks the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In his address, the Governor congratulated the awardees, emphasised the cultural significance of the occasion, and extended birthday greetings to the Prime Minister. He noted that society should acknowledge the unique abilities of individuals rather than focus on their limitations.
